About Kimberly (Kim) Smith-Moore
Kim was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Her mother, Kay Francis (Taylor), and father, Charles Leo Smith, Jr., were both born in Minneapolis and retired from Minneapolis Public Schools. Kim currently lives in Brooklyn Park. She is a wife (married to Anthony Moore), mother (to sons Myles and Makhi), sister (to Steven, Stephanie, Tammy, and Chuckie), and good friend to many.
Kim attended elementary school at Harrison (in North Minneapolis), junior high at Lincoln (in North Minneapolis), and graduated from West High School (in South Minneapolis). She attended the University of Minnesota and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Program Management from Metropolitan State University.
She began real estate early in her career and excelled in the mortgage banking business. Over her years with Wells Fargo, Kim was responsible for managing more than $700 million in grant program funding, leading the homeownership strategy for the company until retiring in 2021. During that time, she successfully managed the NeighborhoodLIFT® program, which helped remove some of the barriers to homeownership by preparing people for the home buying process and providing down payment assistance for people to purchase homes, helping to create more than 20,000 homeowners under her purview.
Kim is a licensed real estate agent and broker with more than 20 years of experience in the real estate and mortgage industry. Her professional associations include the National Association of Realtors, the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors, Minnesota Council on Foundations, and Girls Taking Action.
